RGS Development Group, Inc. was incorporated on November 9, 2001. Its founder, Robert Gonzalez, obtained his General Contracting License in January 1999 while working with Protec General Contractors, where he gained expertise in estimating, cost analysis, dispute resolution, and plan review. His hands-on experience spans wood and steel framing, drywall, structural steel, masonry, concrete, and general construction management.
Under the RGS Development Group, Inc. team, Robert Gonzalez and his associates have led ground-up construction projects, lot split subdivisions, entitlements, wet and dry utility installation, and required street improvements. Their portfolio also includes commercial strip malls and large housing tracts completed under RGS’s engineering license. RGS Development Group, Inc. has successfully completed over 65 construction projects, ranging from $30,000 remodels to $8.5 million big-box supermarket and tenant space conversions.
From March 2009 to December 2014, RGS Development Group, Inc. managed multiple projects for Cardenas Markets, Inc. during Robert Gonzalez's tenure as Director of Construction and Development. His responsibilities included energy management, project management, construction budgeting, big-box remodels and refrigeration upgrades, restaurant construction, maintenance trend analysis, and implementation of energy-saving measures.
